Show a date in Excel as the name of the month.

Excel 2003; Format a date to display month name:

1) Copy and paste the dates into a new column
2) Highlight the column, Click FORMAT on the menu bar, then CELLS from the dropdown menu.
3) From the NUMBER tab, select category CUSTOM
4) Type mmmm <<-- four lowercase m’s
5) OK
